Business Continuity Planning: What You Need to Know Webinar, Lori Neidel, Neidel Law

When:  Aug 19, 2015 from 03:00 PM to 04:00 PM (ET)

This webinar will be a one-hour presentation on business continuity planning for the registered investment advisor. Regulators are increasingly becoming focused on how an advisor is prepared to maintain business continuity in times of significant business disruption. This presentation will address an advisor’s fiduciary obligation to protect clients from business interruptions and mitigate client harm in these instances. The NASAA Model Rule proposal will be covered, giving the advisor an understanding of the regulators’ expectations as to an advisor’s business continuity plan. Components of a well-designed business continuity plan will also be provided in the presentation.

Lori Neidel is the principal of the Law Office of Lori J. Neidel and head of Adviser Compliance Services, serving the independent registered investment advisor's legal and compliance needs. After establishing her own law practice to focus on serving the needs of the financial industry, she founded Adviser Compliance Services, which is solely dedicated to providing outsourced chief compliance officer services to small and mid-sized independent RIA firms.
