Financial planning group ACP rebrands, again. The Alliance of Comprehensive Planners plans to overhaul its image to make another run at increasing its membership and visibility, writes Financial Planning. The association, which rebranded itself two years ago from the Alliance of Cambridge Advisors, plans to use a retainer payment model and launch a new marketing campaign to broaden its reach. The ACP wants to double its membership to about 300 advisers within five years, president Al Davis says. However, price of entry consists of a $9,900 initial fee and $2,700 in annual dues thereafter. ACP president-elect Lois Basil says the group’s programs around tax strategies and planning concepts makes it worth the price.
